Online Culinary Courses Questions

I am trying to find out what kinds of online courses are out there?..specifically ones that are valid in the state of florida. I am kinda looking to i guess "jump" into a career. The ones i know of are cosmetology, culinary...what other courses are there that can be completed relatively quick and can also put me in a good career path???

Is there any online colleges that will allow you to get your teaching degree online? I'm wanting to teach Culinary, but I need a teaching degree (as I already have a Culinary Degree). I work and would like to have online course. Any suggestions?

That like their student prepare a 5 course meal for a decent price. I really want to try it out but cant find anything... or hours of operation.

I've been looking at colleges online and it seems everytime I find one with a Culinary Arts program there isn't a English/creative writing course! And vice versa. Is it that the two just can't coexist? If anybody knows of one with both please let me know!! (Near or around the East coast please,N.C,F.L,P.A,like that)

I'd love to go to pastry school, but I don't have the time or $$. I haven't been to culinary school either, but I'm more interested in the sweet end of it anyway. I'd like to learn more professional techniques than I can get from watching cooking shows, and have more intense instruction than a quick demonstration. Books help, but you can't see what's going on. DVDs might be helpful, which is why I'm looking for a self-study. Know of anything? I already checked CIA; didn't find anything. My schedule does not allow me to attend a course at a local school or college. I have weird hours and can't say that I'm going to be there on tues and thurs from 7 to 10, for example, because I'd only make it half the time. That's why DVDs would be perfect, but I can't find any. Is anyone even READING the question? I can't go to school, never mind full time. I have a job. And other obligations. It's NOT an option.

I recently settled a labor grievance with my employer. Back pay was paid. The second part of the settlement was the following. The Company agrees that, if ********** enrolls in and attends culinary school, the Company will make him a Chef In Training, placing him at the twelve month rate. Unless and until this occurs he shall remain a clerk paid at the applicable clear rate. To remain at the Chef in Training rate, the associate must maintain attendance and/or successfully complete the culinary school program in question. After this settlement I enrolled in a online culinary program at Chefcertification.com for CRT 2016 Culinary Nutrition. This school is run by Southwestern Oregon Community College and Oregon Coast Culinary Institute. Per their website : At chefcertification.com, we provide user-friendly online courses that help aspiring Chefs reach their American Culinary Federation Chef Certification goals. By taking courses using our self-paced online service, Chefs earn the required credit hours for initial certification or certification renewal, all from the comforts of home or the confines of work. There are no term schedules; Chefs may register online at any time, begin a course at any time, and complete a course at any time. Simply put, you can start learning today from wherever you want, whenever you have the time available. On June 3rd I gave my employer my payment and enrollment information. I was told that I needed to provide updates and my certifications as I earned them and my pay rate would be changed immediately as of June 6th. As of July 1st, after not being paid the Chef in training rate, I am now being told by corporate that online courses do not qualify for this settlement. These are the same course I would be taking at the local community college. They are stating that I am not attending college as I am not in a classroom. My final exams for ACF certification are at the Arts Institute in Nashville for my written and practical exams. I am also assigned an instructor for my online classes.Which her credentials are for the course : Amber Johnson, RD Amber has taught in foodservice and culinary fields for the past 12 years. She obtained her Bachelor’s of Science from California State University , Chico and completed her Dietetic Internship at Oregon Health Sciences University (OHSU). She taught Nutrition for Culinary and Food Service Professionals at the ACF accredited Western Culinary Institute and has consulted and trained employees in Nutrition with corporations and retirement centers. Can they legally do this to me ?

Do you think i can go to 2 colleges at once.... A culinary arts academy and the other a online courses.....

Hi, i've been looking online and i haven't found any Wilton cake decorating courses in new york city. I'd like to know if someone can tell me where i can find baking classes here in n.y.c. The classes don't have to be through Wilton, but it would be nice if i could find some. I'm not looking for a culinary or pastry college, because this is more of a hobby for me not a career. So if anyone has any information on baking courses, please share it with me. Thank you

I originally attended The Culinary Insitute of America in Hyde Park Ny and gotten my AOS but my major was culinary and minor management. I'm not looking to return to the CIA i love it but, no. I was told to look into Cornell University for management but wasn't sure if it would have the best curiculums my most problematic situation is that it has to be a college that i could take Online courses. I want the best college but it also has to offer online classes my work schedule is only 4 days giving me 3 days to do a majority of my work any serious answers will help grately
